The Dusty Path
The Dusty Path is a community of people who are joyfully discovering what it means to really surrender to and follow Jesus as he leads us along the dusty path as His disciples.

Enjoy the journey.

The Humphreys are missionaries with Church Resource Ministries .

We are a family who are joyously walking down the dusty path that one must walk down in order to follow Jesus. Like His original disciples, who were called and so followed -- not knowing what trouble may awiat them, but confident in the knowlege that Jesus was more security than anything else they had, they set off down a dusty path. They could not possibly see what was around even the very next bend and they knew they would get dirty in the process.

Yet they set off, on what turned out to be a journey that involved many sufferings, yet was more rewarding, exhilerating and exciting than they could ever have imagined . . . a journey with a community of people following Jesus down the dusty path. You can read some of my thoughts on my blog

Our ministry is made possible through the financial partnership of people who believe in the vision for the Church that God has placed on our hearts. We keep in regular contact with our ministry partners to report all the things that God has done through their parnership. Your financial partnership is greatly appreciated!
We live in Escondido, California. Matthew and Alison are twins, both 16 years old. Leah is 14 years old. We love to hike (well, most of the time), ride bikes, read, attend sporting events and hang out together. We are a pretty close family who love each other a lot. Matthew loves to play baseball and video games; Alison loves to read and listen to music; and, Leah loves to read, shop and talk.

Doug and Kelly are on staff with Church Resource Ministries (an international ministry whose mission is to develop leaders to strenghten and start churches worldwide). Our desire and vision is to live in such a way that we model brokenness and surrender to Christ. I believe God has called us to raise up leaders who, out of the joy and freedom that comes from surrender, model that to others; so that the Church lives as Christ in their community, irresistibly drawing people to the joy and grace of Christ that they see lived out by His real transparent disciples.

My vehicle for living out my vision is on the Business and Professions team - where we use a tool called Refocusing to help people in the business world individually and as married couples discover, grow in and live out there unique calling so that they can live missionally. Basically, helping them to recognize how God has been at work in their past and living missionally with a sense of focus that comes out of discovering what He wants to accomplish through them in the future.

God has been doing amazing things in and through us.  Each day is an exciting adventure as we step out in faith to see what he has in store next.
